Chinatrust Brothers Sign Rick Teasley

The Chinatrust Brothers have signed pitcher Rick Teasley, according to Mike Ashmore. Teasley is a 26-year-old left-handed starter who has been pitching for the Somerset Patriots in 2017. He has a 7-2 record with a 2.85 ERA and a 1.123 WHIP in 75.2 innings. He has struck out 49 and walked 14.

The 6'2" native of Fort Pierce, Florida, began his professional career in the Tampa Bay organization, pitching two years of rookie ball and Single-A in 2013 and 2014. He then spent three seasons with Southern Illinois in the Frontier League before signing with Somerset for 2017. He also pitched for Brisbane in the Australian League in 2015 and 2016.

Teasley becomes the fourth import on the Brothers, joining Bryan Woodall, Bruce Kern III and Orlando Roman. The Brothers will have to make a corresponding move before Teasley joins the first team.
