  • Monkeys first baseman Chen Chun-Hsiu continued to swing the bat well, going 1-for-4 including a solo shot off Fubon starter Scott Richmond in the second inning.
  • It was a pitchers duel between the two starters. Lamigo's Wang I-Cheng pitched seven innings, allowing three runs on seven hits. He also struck out six batters and walked none. Guardians' Scott Richmond also pitched seven-plus innings, allowing three runs on four hits. He had eight strikeouts and three walks.
  • The turning point of the night came in the top of the eighth inning with Lamigo trailing 3-1. Lamigo slugger Wang Po-Jung hit an RBI-single to right, the runner at third Liang Chia-Jung got tripped by Fubon's third baseman Li Tsung-Hsien and no obstruction of the runner was given by the umpire. After some argument by Lamigo manager, Hong I-Chung, Lamigo's DH Lin Hung-Yu hit an opposite-field double to right to bring home two runs.
  • Lamigo continues to dominate Fubon as the home team hasn't won over the away team in eleven games.
